Commenting on the news that sales figures are at the worst in a decade in Scotland, Liberal Democrat Finance spokesperson Jeremy Purvis MSP said:
"With the Scottish economy growing at a much slower rate than the rest of the UK, it seems consumer confidence is lower in Scotland too.
"The Scottish Government in its last year in office must change track.
"It is time for it, jointly with the UK Government to address the Scottish economy rather than position itself to pick political fights."
